The former Southport stopper initially joined the club on loan last month, having failed to regain his place in the starting XI with the Sandgrounders following injury.
He has now signed a contract with the Northern Premier League outfit until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The 26-year-old’s arrival coincided with an upturn in fortunes for the Lions, who have won four of their five matches since he first joined, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
“I am excited about the way the squad is shaping up with a good mix of youth and experience,” Mason said.
“It is good to know that I am wanted and what is expected of me.”
