Greenfields praise Pitch of the Year award finalists

By James Gordon

Greenfields have praised this season's Pitch of the Year award finalists after visiting all nine clubs recently.

In the Premier Division, Bamber Bridge, Nantwich Town and South Shields were chosen, along with Cleethorpes Town, Stamford and Tadcaster Albion from the East Division, and Colwyn Bay, Kidsgrove Athletic and Trafford from the west.

Greenfields visited all nine grounds asking each groundsman a number of questions, carried out clegg and moisture tests and took a series of photos, all of which were recorded on their dedicated pitch inspection app.

Paul Currier, Grounds Manager at Greenfields, said: "For the second year running, we were incredibly impressed with all the pitches we visited which were a credit to the dedicated Grounds staff who work throughout the year in all weather conditions to ensure they are playable, in many cases with limited resources and budgets."
