Hebburn move for Reid

Hebburn Town have signed midfielder Sean Reid from Blyth Spartans.

Reid, 29, helped Blyth win promotion from the NPL to National League North and made more than 200 appearances for the club in two spells.

He played for Morpeth Town at the start of the 2019/20 season, before moving on to Darlington.

Manager Daniel Moore said: “It’s another very good signing for the club.

“He’s another lad who has enjoyed a few years above this level.

“His personal circumstances over the last year have changed and he’ll admit that he wasn’t performing at his best - it’s good to get him in for a new challenge.

“The best thing about him is that he’s hungry; he’s hungry for success, hungry for trophies and hungry for goals.

“That’s hard to come by in a midfielder - he’ll be a good addition to the side.”

Reid becomes Hebburn’s fifth new signing of the summer, following Shaun Newbrook, Joe Walton, Wayne Phillips and Liam Henderson.
