Hednesford confirm ownership changes

Hednesford Town owner Steve Price has agreed to accept assistance from a local consortium to take the Keys Park outfit forward.

Under the agreed arrangements the consortium will work with the Chairman in the running of The Pitmen for the next 12 months, as they aim to create a sustainable future for the football club with a much more commercially dynamic model than seen in recent seasons.

The consortium will be made up of club officials, local businessmen and will also have supporter representation and be maintaining our growing relationship with our junior club partner, with more details due to be released in the next few days of how this Management Group will take shape.

This group will be exploring all commercial and investment opportunities with a view to supporting a high quality team and much improved match day experience for all visitors to Keys Park.

Price, said: "After meeting with this group earlier in the week I was convinced that this was the best option in order to take the football club forward.

"The group are determined to make this a success and I’d like to ask all Hednesford Town supporters to give them their full backing."

The Pitmen are without a fixture this weekend and will return to action a week on Saturday when Nantwich Town visit Keys Park in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division.
