Ingfielders part company with Reed

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Ossett Town have parted company with manager John Reed.

The veteran boss, pictured, left the First Division North club within an hour of his side's 1-1 draw at home to Kendal Town on Saturday.

Officials at the 4G Voice & Data Stadium say they expect to make an announcement on their vacant hot-seat as soon as possible.

Reed, who succeeded Craig Elliott at Ingfield in February 2014, arrived with a wealth of experience stretching back to winning the Northern Premier League’s First Division with Harrogate Town in 2002 and the West Riding County Cup in consecutive seasons.

After moving on to Stalybridge Celtic in Conference North and guiding them to safety despite being 18 points adrift when he took over, Reed went on to manage Buxton for six years.
