Jack Tinker aiming for starting spot at new club

Jack Tinker has said that he will work hard to claim a starting spot at his new club Brighouse Town.

The 20-year-old recently signed with the club from Shelley Community FC, having impressed on trial in pre-season for Brighouse.

The defender joined Barnsley's shadow scholarship in 2018, having previously spent time with the Huddersfield Town team that became EFL Northern Futsal Champions for 17/18, and is now set for a new challenge.

“I can’t wait to get started and get the season underway,” he said.

“I’ve been with the club since the back end of June and I’ve loved every second of it.

“The training sessions have been top quality and the strength and conditioning sessions on a Monday led by Joel from MPFit have really helped.”

“I can’t wait to play a few more pre-season games and hopefully be on the line-up for the first game of the season.

“My individual goals is to sustain a starting place in the starting line-up, but as a team the goal is promotion.”
