Johnson family in Blues takeover

Katie Johnson, pictured, is following in the footsteps of three generations of the family after joining current webmaster and press officer Michael Johnson at the SW Jackson Utilities Stadium this Easter.

A qualified fitness instructor who's already been delivering strength and conditioning sessions to Spencer Fearn's promotion-chasing squad this season, her last role in sport was as commercial manager at Sheffield Wednesday after ten years in the football industry at both the Owls and city rivals Sheffield United.

Johnson, who also spent two years Coldwell Boxing completing a variety of different roles, was delighted to see her appointment announced on the club's website and social media channels ahead of Easter Saturday's postponed EVO-STIK League clash with Peterborough Sports at Westfield Lane.

The new commerical manager said: “I feel very honoured and proud to be offered the position at Frickley as the club has huge potential on and off the pitch. I'm really excited to start working at Westfield Lane to help the club achieve its full potential and to be a huge part of the South Elmsall community.”
