Keeping up with the programme

By James Gordon

A printed match day programme is still the choice of the majority of NPL clubs.

During the 2021/22 season, 86% of NPL clubs produced printed programmes, compared with 14% opting for digital-only.

First introduced during Covid, NPL clubs are able to choose between producing digital or printed match day programmes and it’s entirely up to each club which option it chooses.

Of the 11 clubs that produced digital programmes last season, unfortunately three - Market Drayton Town, Mickleover and Soham Town Rangers - have moved on from the NPL due to relegation or lateral movement.

South Shields, Prescot Cables and Stockton Town came out on top of their respective divisions in the non-league programme awards, run by Soccer Club Swap Shop.

Stockton’s effort put them third in the whole of non-league, behind winners National League North side Leamington and runners-up Portland United of the Wessex League.
