Lakeland wants to win

Farsley Celtic manager Adam Lakeland was frustrated to drop two points in the promotion chase at the weekend.

They twice led at Stalybridge in the “battle of the Celtics” but were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw, which leaves them fifth in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division.

The Yorkshiremen have been on a good run of form of late, losing just once in their last 10 league matches.

Lakeland said: “I want to win games. There’s good points and bad points. When you go ahead twice and you score two goals away from home, you should win.

“To draw from that position is not a good point, I do feel it’s two points dropped.

“We’ve got a good run going, we’re in good form, I’m just disappointed not to have won.

“The players have been doing great, they’re giving everything, and hopefully we can go up to Workington on Tuesday night and get a result.”
