EVO-STIK Premier Division club Marine have announced that Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson will be the main guest at a fundraising dinner to be held at the Marine Travel Arena on Friday 2nd November 2018.

The event is to be joint hosted with ground partners AFC Liverpool and proceeds from the event will be shared between the two football clubs.

Phil Thompson’s Liverpool career spanned 13 seasons making over 300 appearances winning an amazing 3 European Cups, 7 League titles, 2 League Cups, 1 FA Cup, and 3 UEFA Cups.

He made his England debut in 1976 and went on to make 42 England appearances over a six year period.

In recent years Thompson has been a regular panelist on the Sky Soccer Saturday show hosted by Jeff Stelling.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: "We are really pleased that Phil has accepted an invitation to be our main guest at this fundraising event at Marine in early November.

"Phil is a lively pundit on the Sky Soccer Saturday show and his appearance at Marine will be interesting to say the least. He is of course a Liverpool legend and to have him attend and share with us his many football successes at Liverpool will be fantastic.”

Tickets are priced at £30, including hot food. Enquiries for tickets should be made by phoning John Barry or Sandra Bibby at the clubrooms on 0151-924-1743 or by emailing Paul Leary at learymarine@aol.com
