Lilywhites and Latics back appeal

By David Watters

EVO-STIK League Mossley have teamed up with the Oldham Athletic Community Trust to back their local foodbank's Christmas appeal.

Lilywhites secretary John Wharmby joined representatives from the League One club's community arm this week for the launch of Emmaus Mossley's annual festive appeal for foodstuffs, warm clothing and toiletries, pictured.

Wharmby was proud to hand over items already donated by supporters for the homeless in their area before the Lilywhites hold a major collection at Seel Park next weekend when they host Kendal Town in EVO-STIK League North on the Saturday before Christmas.

Emmaus Mossley was founded to offer shelter and work to previously homeless people. The charity is funded by selling furniture and household goods and products donated by well-wishers. For more information visit: www.emmaus.org.uk/mossley.
