Linnets striker makes his return

Runcorn Linnets have confirmed the re-signing of fan favourite Ryan Brooke from Warrington Rylands.

The 32-year-old rejoins the club after a short spell with Rylands over the summer, and will jump straight into action against Newcastle Town this weekend.

The experienced striker has already made 62 appearances for the side, scoring 38 goals in all competitions.

Brooke had his most prolific season last year with the Linnets, picking up the Pitching In NPL West Division's Golden Boot award for his 25 league goals.

Runcorn Linnets currently sit fifth in the division, with 14 points from their opening eight games this term.

The re-addition of Brooke will add firepower to Dave Wild’s side for their upcoming fixtures as the Linnets attempt to climb further up the table.
