Loan star is back in the top flight

Wrexham defender Olly Marx is ready to make his debut for Rushall Olympic in the EVO-STIK League on Saturday after arriving on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old, pictured, could feature against Halesowen Town at Dales Lane after Pics manager Liam McDonald agreed an initial four week loan deal with Wrexham boss and former Pics midfielder Dean Keates on Friday.

Marx is on the fringes of the first-team at the Racecourse Ground with a handful of appearances under his belt having signed a professional deal with the Welsh club during the summer. The teenager was on loan in the EVO-STIK League's top flight at Sutton Coldfield Town last season to further his development and Keates is sure he will benefit again.

Keates told the Pics website: “It’s a good chance for Olly to play first team football in a really good environment at Rushall. We hope it will be beneficial for all parties and we will be keeping a close eye on his development.”

A Pics spokesman added: "Everyone at the club would like to wish Olly all the best whilst on loan with Rushall."
