Mariners chairman Paul Leary is pictured admiring the work of Barry Lenton and Chris Forster in the toilets under the main stand this week after the pair spent three months over the summer renovating and painting at the Marine Travel Arena.
Community officer and veteran fundraiser Lenton hailed the results in the restrooms as their "pièce de résistance" on Thursday after adding the final touches of pictures and mirrors brought from a charity shop in Crosby!
More are on their way and according to Lenton, their efforts have already been given the thumbs up by one couple who travelled up from Hertfordshire on Bank Holiday Monday to see their clash with Warrington Town in the EVO-STIK League's top flight.

The lifelong fan said: "Me and Chris have been working for three months to improve the ground and our pièce de résistance has definitely been the loos from the reaction we've had. A husband and wife who support Hitchin Town were sitting in the stand in front of me on Monday and said they were the best they had seen!"
Fans of Ashton United will be the next visitors to enjoy spending a penny at Marine's refurbished home on Saturday when they arrive in the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round.
