Loughborough announce new charity partner

As part of the deal, the new First Team kits for next season will see the Rainbows branding featured on the back of both the home and away shirt and these will be released in June.

The partnership will also give opportunities for children, young people and their families who use Rainbows, as well as the staff, to come and watch games at the Newton Fallowell Stadium for free.

There will also be Rainbows representatives attending other Loughborough Dynamo events starting with our Dynamo junior’s tournament on the weekend of May 21st and 22nd so make sure you keep an eye out for them.

Loughborough Dynamo Co-Chairmen Darren Rodgers and Ian Beech said: “We are delighted that the club has been able to form a partnership with Rainbows ahead of the upcoming season. The work that Rainbows does in Loughborough and the wider community is vital and we are proud to be supporting them as a club. We look forward to welcoming families and staff from Rainbows Hospice to games in the near future and we encourage all supporters to look out for Rainbows representatives at the ground and support their work when possible.”

Rainbows provides care and support for 300 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their whole family, across the East Midlands. The care Rainbows offers is wide ranging; palliative care and end of life care, symptom management, emergency care, respite and short breaks and is available in the hospice, at home and in hospitals.

They also strive to support every child and young person to achieve their full potential and create memories for families to treasure and provide compassion and comfort for families at the time of and after the death of a young person.

Gary Farnfield, Rainbows Community Fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to be working with Loughborough Dynamo and look forward to an exciting partnership. It costs over £6 million a year to run Rainbows, and with very little statutory funding, we rely on our supporters. Thanks to Loughborough Dynamo and its supporters, we can continue to provide our vital services and help brighten short lives.”

Over the last few days at the Newton Fallowell Stadium, Loughborough, we have installed some pitch side advertising boards with details of Rainbows Hospice on and there are also donation tins at both the bar and the tea bar so supporters can donate to their work.
