Lycett adds experience to Marine

Marine have signed experienced central defender Scott Lycett for the 2019/20 season.

Lycett, 31, joins from Leek Town having also played for Congleton Town, Mossley, Colwyn Bay, Willenhall Town, Hednesford Town, Leamington, Kidsgrove Athletic, Halesowen Town, Nantwich Town and Witton Albion.

He began his career as a youth player at Port Vale and Manchester City and also played reserve football for Leicester City.

Neil Young said: “Scott is a central defender who played in a very good Leek team last season that just missed out in the playoff final. He has a great attitude and will bring a lot of experience both on and off the pitch.“

Evans and other remain at Linnets, but Holt departs Midfielder Bobby Evans has signed on for a second season at Runcorn Linnets.
