Macclesfield move for ex-York winger

Former York City winger Alex Hurst has joined Macclesfield until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The 23-year-old arrives at the Northern Premier League side following his departure from the Minstermen, having made 33 appearances last season in the National League.

Hurst first came through the Silkmen academy in his youth before moving to Port Vale.

He went on to make 29 appearances in all competitions for the Valiants but will now return to the Leasing.com Stadium.

Hurst is eligible to feature in this Saturday’s FA Cup third qualifying round tie at home to Warrington Rylands.
