Main sponsors already booked up

Grantham Town have unveiled Simon Hopkins Electrical Services as their main sponsor for the 2016-17 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League campaign.

The local electrical and communication services specialists are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year and will have their name and logo emblazoned across the front of the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club's first team strip after signing a one year deal.

Now a UK-wide business after being founded locally, the new Gingerbreads sponsors are also sponsoring the dug outs at The Meres and have pledged to support a project to refurbish the old tea bar at the stadium to boost a much needed income stream.

In a statement on the club's website, Simon Hopkins said: "Our business has grown up on honesty and hard work throughout the team.

"We never forget our community that we still serve with pride and it is the greatest honour to support Grantham Town Football Club throughout the next season as we enter into our tenth year of trading."

Grantham Town director Sophie Cope, pictured alongside Hopkins, said: “It's fantastic to have secured next season's main sponsor so early and it is testament to how far the club has come over the last couple of years.

"Simon approached the club about sponsoring a match after hearing how fantastic the hospitality was from another big sponsor of the club and never looked back. After realising the potential of such a big club and hearing the plans for Grantham Town's Academy for 16 to 18-year-olds starting next season, Simon was very keen to be a part of these exciting times at the club!"

He added: "As a club would like to thank Simon for his support and are looking forward to welcoming him along with his colleagues and family to the club and they will be a regulars at games next season."

Grantham Town are on the lookout for businesses to sponsor their new academy which will offers full-time education and coaching when it opens in September.
