NEW MATCHDAY DATE ANNOUNCED FOR POOL MARATHON!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton in his managing Director capacity at Msr Newsgroup gave a big thank you to former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper and Cheif Scout Alan Hill for giving his services completely free of charge at the clubs forthcoming car park fund raising dinner.

Hill joined Millers Chairman Mick Garton in the Msr Corporate box at the City Ground along with Nottingham Forest legend Kenny Burns and Notts County legend Les Bradd to watch Nottingham Forests 2-1 win over Birmingham City.

All three made Sponsorships donations to Mick for the rescheduled pool and darts marathon which we can now reveal is set to take place on a Carlton Town Matchday on Saturday 7th April when Carlton take on Newcastle Town at Stoke Lane.

Garton has told us that he has raised the bar for the evening and is now hoping to raise £1,500 at the event, given Carltons increasing financial issues with only one home game played since 23rd December as we move into March.

Circumstances have been made worse by the weather with Carlton now also losing their Five a side pitch income in recent days and a burst water pipe yesterday only added to their woes.

The one positive is the number of tickets sold for the Alan Hill event with less than 20 tickets left for what is certain to be a sell out evening at Stoke Lane.

If anyone wants a ticket for what is sure to be a cracking evening and includes a 2 course meal, contact Gaz Bee on 07791 681407.
