Marine launch floodlight website

Online catalogue of the historical problems with totalizer for funds raised

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Marine have launched a new website to highlight the problems that they have had with their 35 year old floodlights and the need to raise funds for a new lighting system.

The website catalogues the problems encountered in the last two to three seasons with the old lights and includes the numerous press releases issued by Marine relating to fundraising activities for the appeal and news items and information relating to the new lighting system.

The website also includes a barometer chart that shows that £21,166 has been raised so far through fund raising events and donations towards the £40,000 target and has a facility for donors to make payments directly into the appeal account.

The website has been constructed by Marine Secretary Richard Cross.

Cross Said, “The website brings together in one document all of the information that has built up over the last year since we launched the ground appeal. The emphasis at the moment is the need to replace our old lights and I hope that the launch today of the new website www.floodlightappeal.co.uk will highlight the need for the new floodlights and help raise valuable funds towards their cost.”

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said, “This is a great effort by Richard who has spent considerable time in setting up and testing the website. I would like to thank him for the completion of this project which I know has given him great personal satisfaction. I hope that his efforts will be rewarded by the public supporting our aims to get new lights installed this coming summer.”

Leary added, “We have the planning approval and a preferred installer ready to commence the work; all we need now is the funding to proceed. The sooner the lights are installed the better!”
