Marine make double swoop

By James Gordon

Marine have signed striker Nathan Brown from Chester.

Brown, 20, made two appearances for Chester this term and won the club’s 2017/18 Goal of the Season award.

He said: '' I am delighted to be joining Marine and looking forward to the rest of the season and just playing some games which I haven’t done for a while.''

Also joining the club is midfielder Dylan Sumner following his release by Barnsley.

Sumner has previously had spells at Blackpool and a trial at Cardiff.

He said: “I am very happy about joining Marine until the end of the season. I watched the lads on Saturday and can see it’s a great team and can’t wait to get started playing with them.”

Both players were named on the bench in Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat to South Shields in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division.
