Marske swoop for Championship goalkeeper

Young Norwich City goalkeeper Ellis Craven has joined Marske United on loan until the end of December.

The goalkeeper joined the Canaries in the summer, after a previous spell at Rochdale.

He has made two appearances in the Premier League 2 for Norwich this season, and now links up with Graeme Lee's side for their forthcoming Northern Premier League fixtures.

The Seasiders are currently in the relegation zone, having endured an indifferent time in recent weeks. However, their form has turned slightly and they have picked up 12 points from their last seven league games.

Craven is now the second Norwich goalkeeper on loan in the Northern Premier League, following in the footsteps of fellow shot-stopper Dylan Berry.

Berry has made six appearances for Macclesfield, making two clean sheets so far. His loan at the club was extended earlier this week.

Craven becomes the Seasiders' second arrival in the space of 48 hours, with young Middlesbrough right-back George Gitau also joining on an initial one-month loan.
