Marske United sign versatile midfielder

The 23-year-old former Sunderland midfielder made his senior debut for the Black Cats in the EFL Trophy in 2018, going on to make a further three appearances for the first team in the competition.

During his time at the Stadium of Light, he made over 90 appearances for Sunderland's youth sides in the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 competitions.

Hackett has also had loan and permanent spells at Whitby Town, and was most recently on loan at Hebburn Town last season.

In signing, he becomes Graeme Lee's third summer arrival, joining ex Middlesbrough academy pro Nathan Dale and Newton Aycliffe Young Player of the Year Dan Myers.
