Matlock release Wright

Matlock Town have terminated the contract of midfielder Andrew Wright by mutual consent.

 Wright, 23, joined the Gladiators for a second time during the summer from Coalville Town, where he scored 17 goals last season.

He had previously spent time at Matlock on loan from Lincoln City back in 2016/17, but wasn’t able to find the target in their 10 league and cup matches so far this season.

Club chairman Tom Wright said: “Andrew’s a smashing lad and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Matlock visit Whitby Town in the BetVictor Northern Premier on Saturday.
