Matlock swoop for new goalkeeper

Matlock Town have confirmed the capture of young goalkeeper Sam Ogden, subject to league and FA approval.

Ogden, 21, previously played for the Gladiators at reserves and academy level, as well as having spells at Staveley MW, Teversal FC, Clipstone FC and Hallam FC.

He featured for the club at short notice last season during their 1-0 defeat to York City in the FA Trophy, with his performance impressing manager Paul Phillips.

Ogden also featured for the club during Tuesday's 1-0 pre-season defeat to Mansfield Town.
