The former Yeltz first teamer and current youth team manager is pictured being interviewed by Black Country Radio's Adam Parkes on Saturday before the club's 3-2 win over Matlock Town after being introduced to supporters by Halesowen Town chairwoman Karen Brookes.
As a player, the Birmingham-based businessman made five appearances for the Yeltz and last season guided the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club's youth team to promotion to the Midlands Floodlit Youth League Premier Division.
A Yeltz spokesman said: "All parties are hoping to have everything complete by the end of March meaning the club will have new owners by the end of the season."
McKenna was named as the new investor needed to complete the purchase of the club following the conclusion of successful lengthy discussions last week.
Brookes reached an agreement to buy the Yeltz from current owner and former chairman Steve Lynch last month before the crowdfunding campaign she helped launch with fans in January to raise £30,000 to finance a takeover prompted McKenna to join their consortium.
Yeltz fans have been backing the fundraising scheme led by Brookes and her father, club president Colin Brookes, since it was launched at a meeting of more than 200 supporters in January.
