McNulty and Wardle commit to Witton

Witton Albion centre-backs Josh Wardle and Steve McNulty have both signed new contracts to remain with the club for the 2021/22 campaign.

Wardle, 24, joined Albion back in the summer of 2018 and has been a mainstay in the heart of the Witton defence ever since.

In addition, he was appointed team captain and skippered the side during 2020/21.

Veteran former Tranmere, Luton, York and Fleetwood defender McNulty, 37, arrived at Wincham Park to join up with his long-term friends Carl Macauley and Gary Martindale, the management team at Witton.

He featured as Albion made a strong start to the season before restrictions curtailed the campaign.
