Mitchell takes Hyde chance

Jonah Mitchell has agreed a deal to stay at Hyde United until the end of the season.

Mitchell, 22, joined the Tigers in the summer from Northern Irish side Queens University FC.

He previously played for Linfield and Ards, and has scored three goals in 12 league appearances in Jim Gannon’s front line.

Mitchell said: “I’m really enjoying my football here at Hyde, since coming over to the area, it’s been great to join a team looking to push on.

“You never know what to expect coming over to a different country and some of the teams I didn’t really know about which has probably worked in my favour so you go and play free and play your own game.’’
