Morpeth Town keeper on the move

Young Morpeth Town goalkeeper James Anderson has joined Dunston on a season-long loan deal.

He has made two first team appearances for the Highwaymen; in a Northumberland Senior Cup game against Whitley Bay and their FA Trophy victory over Warrington Town last November.

Anderson, 19, gained further experience at Whickham last season before signing a new two-year deal with Morpeth in May.

However, he will now spend the season on loan at Dunston, who play in the Pitching In NPL East Division.

His new club say that Anderson's loan move "will allow James to develop more experience within a tough league, and strengthen's Dunston's credentials moving into the 2022/23 season".
