Mullarkey commits for Christmas

Nantwich Town fans can look forward to seeing a lot more of Toby Mullarkey in 2018 after the defender committed his future to the EVO-STIK League's Dabbers.

The 20-year-old centre-back, pictured, signed on contract ahead of the club's trip to Workington in the EVO-STIK League's top flight on Saturday after featuring heavily in the back four at the Weaver Stadium this season.

One of manager Dave Cooke’s summer signings after arriving from Leek Town, Mullarkey is currently close to a return from injury after suffering an horrific leg injury last month in a 3-0 away win at Matlock Town.

The former Crewe Alexandra defender had scored once this season in the 5-1 defeat away at Altrincham before his injury.
