Gareth Hussey, a former East Midlands Counties League player before injury prematurely curtailed his playing career, was unveiled on Saturday as the newest member of Attenborough's coaching set-up after standing down as assistant manager at East Midlands Counties League runners-up Anstey Nomads.
His arrival at the Nanpantan Sports Ground to work alongside Attenborough and assistant manager Jay Groocock follows the appointment earlier this week of Connor Middleton as Dynamo's new goalkeeping coach and the return of Bob Elliot as sports therapist.
A former youth team player at the club, 22-year-old Middleton previously worked with the academy keepers at both Leicester City and Preston North End and is currently a schools sports officer with Leicester City. Former Belper Town and Mickleover Sports therapist Elliott was first appointed by ex-Dynamo boss Tommy Brookbanks in the summer of 2013 and is now preparing for his sixth season.
Hussey, who also took his first steps in management thanks to Brookbanks, said: "After my injury problems I took a couple of years out of the game before I started working on earning my coaching badges and joined Coalville Town as the club's U15s coach. Tom Brookbanks, the Coalville manager at the time, then asked me to coach the club's development squad, which I really enjoyed. I met Lee a few days ago and I am really looking forward to the new season with Dynamo."
Attenborough said: "I'm really pleased to welcome Gareth to Dynamo as first team coach. He brings quite a bit of coaching experience, and when we met I quickly realised Gareth would be a big asset to Loughborough Dynamo."
