New man between the sticks at Quorn

Quorn have announced the signing of goalkeeper Tom Allsopp from newly promoted NPL Midlands side Darlaston Town.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper becomes Ryan Beswick's first summer signing ahead of the 2024/25 season, filling in the void left by the departure of Charlie Woods.

Allsopp helped Darlaston Town to promotion into the Northern Premier League last season, keeping 13 clean sheets in 26 appearances.

The young 'keeper began his career at Solihull Moors, and spent time out on loan at the likes of Stourbridge and Banbury United.

On his move to the Methodists, Allsopp said: "I won promotion last season, and the club are keen to win one this year.

"I would love to get another promotion on the CV. I know the club were close last season, and I’m confident we will be up there again at the end of the season.”
