Thanks to a newly signed deal with local waste management company Red Industries, the EVO-STIK League West club's Lyme Valley Stadium has been officially rebranded as the The Red Industries Stadium.
Castle manager Robin van der Laan and his side will also see the company's logo adorning their home kit, reserve kit and club mini-bus after it was unveiled last week when they hosted Stoke City's U23s.
Castle - who run 28 teams in total and a thriving youth section training and playing at Roe Lane Playing Fields as well as their Lyme Valley Stadium - are delighted with the boost from a major local employer.
Newcastle Town's youth chairman and club director Gavin Appleby said: “It’s fantastic news for the club to have Red Industries on board as the main sponsors. We’re delighted that they are supporting the club and it’s an exciting way for us to start the new season!
"The sponsorship money we receive helps us to keep the club going and improving – also, when the youngsters see the club doing well, it gives them confidence and aspirations of one day making it into our senior teams.”
He added: “It’s great to see a local company, like Red Industries, giving back to the local area and we as a club look forward to a long relationship with them.”
The new partnership isn’t the first time Newcastle Town and Red Industries have worked together. The club has previously been supported with funding from the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund, allowing them to improve their community gym facilities and also purchase mobile floodlighting to train and play for longer in the winter months. To date, the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund has awarded over £640,000 to local community projects in the area.
Red Industries marketing manager Samantha Boden said: “Supporting the community and giving back to the local area is really important to us as a company. This deal is not only a great way for us to help the club, but it will also enable us to get our message out there to the local people. In particular, it’ll help us raise awareness of the support we can offer in the area such as funding for community projects through our Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund.”
Red Industries is a growing waste management company with three sites in Staffordshire that has expanded significantly over the past 18 months with an increase in work force, profits, and processing capacity. The continued success of the business has had a positive effect in the local community through increased employment opportunities, funding for community projects via the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund and sponsorship deals like Newcastle Town's.
