NPL pair to play at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium

Scarborough Athletic and Marske United will play each other in the North Riding Senior Cup Final at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.

EVO-STIK League Premier Division side Scarborough are in the final for a second successive year, and beat York City on penalties in the semi-final earlier this month.

Opponents Marske, who play in the East Division, won 3-1 against Middlesbrough's Under 23 side.

The final will take place on Thursday May 2 (kick-off 7.30pm).

Marske last reached the final in 2012/13, when they lost 3-0 to Pickering Town. They won the competition for the only time in the club's history back in 1995.

Scarborough, who lost to Middlesbrough's Under 23s in last year's final, last had their name on the trophy back in 2004, though that was before the demise of the old club and the formation of Scarborough Athletic.
