Only three games took place in the NPL, with Marine the highest-placed team to take to the field.
A goalless draw with Ilkeston Town at the Marine Travel Arena saw them climb to 9th. They sit four points adrift of the play-off places, with two or more games in-hand on all of the sides above them.
Elsewhere, FC United of Manchester picked up just their second away league win of the season after running out 3-1 winners at Gainsborough Trinity.
Goals either side of half-time from Jay Fitzmartin and Dontai Gabbidon put them in the driving seat, and although Dylan Cogill pulled a goal black for the Holy Blues, Paul Ennis wrapped up victory deep into second half stoppage time.
The final game of the day saw Whitby Town snatch a point at the death away at Basford United.
A last-gasp Jacob Gratton free-kick was enough for the Seasiders to earn a 1-1 draw and deny the hosts what would've been just their fourth league win of the season.
