Number two thanked for efforts

Frickley Athletic's assistant manager James Dudgeon has left the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League club after being sent to the stands on Saturday.

Dudgeon, who arrived in May 2012 alongside manager Karl Rose, stood down after being involved in an altercation on the touchline during Salford City's 1-0 win at Westfield Lane in the FA Trophy's Preliminary Round.

The Blues have wished the former Barnsley, Lincoln City, Halifax Town, Worksop Town, York City, Stalybridge Celtic, Gainsborough Trinity and Ilkeston Town defender well and thanked him for his efforts since first playing for the club while on loan in September 2009.

In a statement on their website, the club said: "All at Frickley Athletic thank 'Dudge' for his efforts during over three years at the club and wish him well in the future."
