Stacey joins the Sheepicorns from Belper Town where he made two appearances in the Nailers' play-off winning campaign last season, earning promotion to the NPL Premier Division.
The versatile left-sided player has also enjoyed four years in the United States, earning a soccer scholarship programme at Bluefield College in Virginia.
Before his lengthy spell in the U.S, Stacey gained plenty of experience at Step Three in the Northern Premier League and also in the National League with Alfreton Town.
Excited by the prospect of his move, Stacey said, "I’m very happy to be on board. Jas, [Mark Ward], Middy & the lads have been very welcoming already. It’s a great club and I’m looking forward to the season. Hopefully we can achieve something special this year.”
Ossett United's joint-manager Jas Colliver is looking forward to seeing how his new acquisition fits into the squad.
"Joe makes us stronger, we have a squad building and competition for places.
"We are looking for the lads to perform consistently and we feel we know what we are going to get from him. Joe knows a few of the lads already and seems to be settling in well."
