Paddy Lacey joins Warrington Rylands

Warrington Rylands have announced the signing of midfielder Paddy Lacey from Chester.

The 28 year old began his career at Bradford City after being released by Sheffield Wednesday.

After being unable to break into the first team, Lacey joined Droylsden in 2012, before making a move to Altrincham a few month later.

In 2013, the midfielder joined Barrow, where he stayed for three years, making 89 appearances and scoring 4 goals.

He joined Accrington Stanley in 2016 where he made 11 appearances and scoring 1 goal in a 1-0 win against Portsmouth, before being released by the club.

In 2019, Lacey signed for Southport on an 18-month contract.

He then went on to play for Stalybridge Celtic before enjoying two years at Chester, making 22 appearances and scoring 3 goals.

Alongside football, Lacey is also a professional boxer and currently has a record of 3-0-0.

Warrington Rylands sit third in the West Division league and will travel to Kendal Town in this weekend's Northern Premier League West Division fixture.
