Popular podcast pencils in return date

The award-winning NPL Show is back for its third season on the eve of the new EVO-STIK Northern Premier League campaign.

Launched in 2013 with the backing of the league by the team behind FCUM Radio to tap into the passion at the EVO-STIK NPL's 68 clubs, the first hour long monthly podcast of the 2015-16 campaign will be available for download on Friday 14 August.

As in the past, the show will be hosted by FCUM's Ben Hughes and recorded at The Magnet Inn in Stockport where a wide variety of guests from fans, players and managers to members of the media and club and league officials, will debate the the latest news and action.

Downloaded by thousands of listeners every month, last season the podcast even spawned a spin-off, The EVO-STIK NPL Show Extra, an hour long podcast every Friday to preview the weekend and upcoming midweek action.

Regular pundits expected to return to the show include Swampy from FCUM Radio and BBC 5 Live's Non-League Show, Non-League manager Roy Soule, EVO-STIK NPL operations manager Alan Allcock, James Heyes from the NPL Facebook Group, BBC Manchester's Ian Burke and Daily Mirror journalist Aaron Flanagan.
