Premier Division preview: Two points separate top four

Just four points separate the top four places in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.

Buxton claimed the top spot thanks to their their impressive midweek 5-1 victory over Scarborough Athletic, just days following their FA Cup adventure came to an end after a historic run for the club.

Steve Cunningham’s side host Ashton United, who sit 18th in the table.

Behind the Bucks by just one point with 41, Bamber Bridge are unbeaten in their last four league fixtures and host Scarborough Athletic, subject to a pitch inspection.

Witton Albion’s home clash with Morpeth Town will also have a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

In third spot, Matlock Town have recently added goalkeeper Dan Wallis to their squad on loan from Doncaster, while confirming the departure of Craig King.

Paul Phillips’ side travel to Stalybridge Celtic, who sit 11th in the table.

In fourth spot with 40 points, the same amount as the Gladiators, South Shields host Hyde United.

Elsewhere, Warrington Town will be looking to continue their league form of eight unbeaten as they travel to Gainsborough Trinity, who sit 20th in the table.

Lancaster City will be looking to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat at Cantilever Park as they host Basford United, who sit just outside the play-offs on 27 points.

Nantwich Town host Radcliffe, while bottom of the table Grantham Town face Atherton Collieries.

Stafford Rangers and FC United of Manchester will both be looking for the three points as they push for a play-off spot, while Mickleover travel to Whitby Town.
