Premier Division round-up: Warrington Town go seven unbeaten

Paul Carden’s Warrington Town made it seven games unbeaten in all competitions with a 1-0 victory over Hyde United in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.

The Yellows left it late to see off 10-man Hyde United, with Luke Duffy scoring in the 90th minute. They sit fifth in the table, and face Chasetown this weekend in the FA Trophy.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Atherton Collieries scored in the 85th minute to claim a point at home to South Shields. Matthew Gillam scored the equaliser, while Jack Bodenham opened the scoring just 10 minutes before.

Table toppers Matlock Town fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Whitby Town. Soni Fergus opened the scoring inside the third minute, while team-mates Bradley Fewster and Harry Green also scored.

Elsewhere in the play-offs, Bamber Bridge claimed a 2-1 away victory at Stafford Rangers, while Buxton were in FA Cup action.

Ashton United impressed in a 3-0 home victory over Basford United, their fourth win a row.

Morpeth Town moved from the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Grantham Town, while Scarborough Athletic claimed a 2-0 home victory over Lancaster City.

With 1,698 in attendance, FC United of Manchester won 3-2 at home against Gainsborough Trinity. Goals from Adam Dodd, Sam Burns and Regan Linney for the Broadhurst Park side.

Braces from Justin Johnson and Callum Saunders saw Stalybridge Celtic and Witton Albion draw 2-2.

Finally, goals from Joseph Cummings, Chris Taylor and Luca Navarro saw Radcliffe win 3-1 at home over Mickleover.
