With both clubs facing a hectic schedule of festive fixtures after the tie was first abandoned with the Robins 2-0 up and then postponed last week, supporters can see the action at Moss Rose for just £5. The Silkmen have also reduced concession prices for the first round fixture to £3 while students and U18s will pay £1.
In a statement explaining the move, officials said both clubs wanted to ease the financial burden on fans with so many games coming up in quick succession over the festive season.
They're also hoping a few neutrals might take the chance to attend too in a traditionally barren week for fixtures leading up to the holidays.
A win will see the Robins heading to the South West to take on Truro City and Ashton United vice chairman Steve Hobson said: "We are hoping that with the prices slashed for this tie we will see a bumper crowd at the game. This is an opportunity to take in a smashing cup tie, one where both clubs will feel they can progress to the next round.
"I would appeal to all of the Ashton family to come along and make some noise. Any NPL supporters wanting to lend a hand too, would be most welcome to join us."
The Robins were leading the National League outfit through top scorer Martin Pilkington and ex-Macclesfield man Will Haining and seemingly heading for a famous giant-killing before incessant rain forced the referee to call off their original encounter at half-time. Ashton's Jeff King is pictured sliding through a puddle to challenge Macclesfield's Danny Rowe before officials brought proceedings to a close.
* The Robins are running a coach for fans to Moss Rose with tickets priced at £12.50. For more information and to reserve a seat, contact Ken Philburn via email at kenbo0133@hotmail.com or on Twitter at @kenbo0133.
