Quartet of new signings for Bamber Bridge

Bamber Bridge made four new signings ahead of their 3-3 draw with South Shields in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division at the weekend.

Full-back Ben Thomas, 22, joins from Kendal Town having previously been at Morecambe, alongside the versatile Daniel Wisdom.

Wisdom, 29, has previously played for Kendal, Northwich Victoria, FC United and Stalybridge Celtic.

Following those signings was the capture of Warrington Town defender James McCarten on loan.

McCarten has spent a year on the sidelines through injury and has been with the Yellows since 2012.

Boss Mick Taylor said: “Jay is a great signing for us, he's an experienced centre half, dominant in the air with good leadership qualities.”

Forward Mark Buchan also returned to Brig from Kendal Town.
