Raffie returns in style for Nantwich Town

Nantwich Town have announced the return of exciting forward Akiel Raffie.

Raffie will be well-known to Dabbers supporters following a loan spell at the club during the 2021/22 season.

During that time, he made 18 appearances and scored twice while adding a number of assists.

Raffie also spent time on loan at Marine from Fleetwood Town last season, featuring five times.

He came off the bench during the second half of Saturday's 3-2 win over City of Liverpool and played a starring role in the victory, drawing high praise from manager Paul Carden post-match.

"He was outstanding," the Dabbers boss said.

"He's a kid with great ability, pace and power. He gets goals and makes things happen. As soon as he came on he did that, so I'm looking forward to working with him.

"The fans will have memories of his performing a couple of seasons ago, but he adds to our attacking options and gives me good selection problems."
