Rams move for Brodie

Ramsbottom United have signed former Football League striker Richard Brodie.

Brodie, 31, spent the early part of the season in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division with Warrington Town.

He boosts the Rams front line after they lost Nialle Rodney to injury during the FA Trophy replay victory over Workington.

A regular goalscorer at York City, Brodie made his name by helping to fire Crawley Town in to the Football League.

The north east native has also played for Fleetwood Town, Morecambe, Grimsby Town, Hereford United, Southport and Stockport.

He made his debut for Ramsbottom in the 3-1 win at Market Drayton Town at the weekend.
