Recovering after four day festival!

By David Watters

Leek Town's fans are recovering from a four beer festival at the EVO-STIK League club's Harrison Park!

Thousands of pints of real ale, craft ciders and lager were consumed after the Leek Town Beer Festival kicked off last Thursday night as the Blues warmed up for the upcoming 2018-19 EVO-STIK League West season entertaining Crewe Alexandra.

Cider Sunday rounded off the festival after a 'Community Day' on Saturday when the Staffordshire club celebrated being named as the Northern Premier League's 2017-18 Community Club of the Year in June with a junior tournament and 12-0 win for Leek Town Ladies over Sandbach Ladies.

The finale of the festival saw Leek CSOB beat Staffordshire Moorlands 4-0 to win the 2018 Leek Charity Shield before the Leek Town Vets met in the club's annual charity fundraiser.
