The 49-year-old suffered a burst blood vessel in his upper neck and was rushed to the Salford Royal Hospital by ambulance after the game. After being kept in overnight for observation and treatment, he was discharged in the morning.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Yellows confirmed that their manager was on the up while chairman Toby Macormac sent their thanks for the support they'd received from the Non-League game and wider football community.
The club said: "Warrington Town Football Club would like to thank everyone, especially the medical staff at Trafford FC for their assistance, and all the well wishes and concerns for manager Shaun Reid who was taken ill towards the end of the club's game at Trafford on Bank Holiday Monday.
"Shaun was taken to Salford Royal Hospital by ambulance after the game where it was confirmed he suffered a burst vessel in the upper neck."
A relieved Macormac added: “Shaun is in good form and a CT scan has come back clear but he was kept in overnight for routine observations which is standard procedure after an incident like this.
"We would like to thank all our friends in Non-League football for their messages of concern and everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery."
Two goals in the final 10 minutes saw the Wire snatch the points in First Division North. The Yellows, who exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle in Saturday's Preliminary Round, fought back from a goal down thanks to Scott Metcalfe and Jay McCarten efforts.
