Robins swoop for teenage midfielder

Wigan Athletic midfielder Ethan Mitchell has joined Ashton United on a one-month loan.
The 19-year-old has featured at U18s level for Tranmere Rovers and Plymouth Argyle.
While on the south coast, he made his professional first team debut for the Pilgrims in the EFL Trophy during the 2020/21 season.
Mitchell, who operates primarily as a defensive midfielder, has also enjoyed loan spells with Nantwich Town and Plymouth Parkway.
He will be available for selection for the Robins’ Northern Premier League fixture against Stafford Rangers this weekend.
