Robinson returns at Lilywhites

Former Ramsbottom United manager Jon Robinson is back in EVO-STIK Northern Premier League action at Mossley AFC.

The legendary Rams striker, pictured, stood down at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium in early September after succeeding former joint bosses Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley following their departure to Salford City.

An experienced forward who is also comfortable playing at the back, the 32-year-old has also played for Salford City, Flixton, Bacup Borough and New Mills before joining the Lilywhites in First Division North at the weekend.

New Ramsbottom United manager Phil Edghill has taken two teenagers on loan from Oldham Athletic as he bids to lift the club off the bottom of the Premier Division table.

Forward Jordan Bove and midfielder Jack Tuohy, both 19, arrived on one month loans on Monday and both are expected to make their debuts on Tuesday night when the Rams host top flight leaders Blyth Spartans.
