Ruddock handing out accolades

Ossett Albion's stars of the EVO-STIK League's 2017-18 season are looking forward to being honoured by one of football's hard men.

Former Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Liverpool, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers and Swindon Town defender Neil 'Razor' Ruddock is heading to the Cedar Court Hotel in Wakefield on Friday night to hand out that accolades at the EVO-STIK League North club's end of season sports dinner and awards ceremony.

A television personality and actor since hanging up his playing boots at Swindon in 2003 after a 17 year playing career, the 49-year-old will be on stage alongside comedian Lee Roberts with tickets for the event priced at £35 per head.

Ruddock, who came out of retirement in 2015 to play for United Counties League side Wellingborough Whitworth and earned a single cap for England in 1994, will celebrate a personal milestone 24 hours earlier - his 50th birthday!
